Unsubscribe Text : Tips & Best Practices

With Plaformly, you can write your own unsubscribe text, which will appear at the bottom of every emails you send out through Platformly with that Sender Profile.

To write your own unsubscribe text or edit one you already created, click on your profile picture at the top right of the members area and then on "Setup". Then, go to the "Profiles" tab.

From here, you can either create a new sending profile by clicking on the blue + button located at the top right, or edit an existing one by clicking on the 3-dot icon at the far right and on "Edit".

If you want to keep it simple, simply write: "Unsubscribe" (without quotation marks).

If you want to be a little more fancy, you can write something like:

"Opt out of future emails"
"Edit your preferences" or "Edit your contact information"
"No longer wish to receive emails from us?" or "No longer wish to receive these emails?"

About hyperlinks

Note that the following words are automatically hyperlinked:

"unsubscribe"
"se désinscrire" ("unsubscribe" in French)
"desabonarse" ("unsubscribe" in Spanish)
"edit your preferences"
"opt out "
"opt-out"
"cliquez ici" ("unsubscribe" in French) - not recommended
"haga clic aquí" ("unsubscribe" in Spanish) - not recommended

This means that, if you write the following unsubscribe text:

" Opt out of future emails "

"Opt out" will be hyperlinked. If the recipient clicks on that link, he or she will be directed to the unsubscribe page.

If your unsubscribe text does not contain any words that are automatically hyperlinked, our system will automatically add "Unsubscribe" at the end of your text. For example:

" Don't want to hear from us again? " => " Don't want to hear from us again? Unsubscribe "

Words you should avoid using

We recommend that you avoid using the following words in your unsubscribe text, as they can be seen as spam words by some Email Service Providers:

"click"
"list"
"mailing list"
any other word that could trigger spam filters
