How to remove a contact from an automation?
There are 2 ways to remove a contact from an automation in Platformly:
Automatically when the contact unsubscribes from the specific project or mailing list;
Set up a Global Condition in the automation, for contacts to be removed from the specific automation when the condition is met.
Automatic removal when a contact unsubscribes from a project or mailing list
By default, when contacts receive an email through Platformly, there is a link at the bottom of the email for the contacts to click to unsubscribe.
Note, it is possible to remove the default footer and place the unsubscribe link elsewhere in your email. You can read more about how to do this here.
When users click on the unsubscribe link, they have the option to select the project / mailing list that they want to unsubscribe from.
If contacts unsubscribe from a project / mailing list, all automations for that specific project / mailing list will be automatically stopped for the contacts and they will not receive any further emails under that specific project / mailing list, unless they re-subscribe to the project / mailing list.
Set up a Global condition
When creating an automation, you can create an "End If" or Global Condition, for the automation to stop in the event of the condition being met. For example, you could set up a global condition for the automation to stop, if the contact is added to a specific segment or has a specific tag, if a contact opens a particular email, if a contact clicks on a particular email link, if a contact orders a certain product and so on.
Below is a video tutorial on how to remove a contact who clicks on a specific link in an email from an automation.
