What is Shopify?

Shopify is a subscription-based e-commerce platform that allows you to set up an online store and sell products. It offers you a way to quickly launch an online store and start selling to customers, wherever they are.

Now with Platformly CRM's integration with Shopify, you can get an overall view of your store's performance in one place and:

Automatically import customer and sales data into Platformly
Set up automated email campaigns and more
Insert product information in your emails with just a few clicks
Access detailed customer reporting (including customer lifetime value)



How to connect Shopify to Platformly?

From the Shopify App Store select Platformly and then add the app.

You will then be asked to login to your Shopify store.



Once logged in to your Shopify store, click on "install app" and the Platformly app will then be installed on the store. You will then be redirected to Platformly login page, where you can then login into your Platformly's account and complete the setup.

In your Platformly's account, select a Project for your Shopify Store.



Platformly will then connect to your Shopify store and you will be taken to the settings page where you can select and set up:

Shopify events that will be sent to Platformly;
Shopify contacts that will be added to Platformly via segments and tags; and
Products related events that will be sent to Platformly;

For Events Settings, you can setup events, when someone:

views a product
adds a product to cart
views his/her cart
clicks the checkout button
places an order
abandons his/her cart



This will then allow you to track customers' and visitors' behavior on your Shopify store. You can also set up automated emails to be sent out when a specific Shopify event occurs through our Email Automation Builder. For example, you could set up so that an email is sent to everyone who triggers the “Abandoned Cart” event, X number of minutes after it happened. For Contacts Settings , you will be able to choose which segment(s) to add contacts to and apply tags, based on the actions of the customers and visitors on your Shopify Store . For example, you could set it up so that when a purchase is made, that contact is added to the purchased segment in Platformly contacts.



For Products Settings, you will be able to choose which segment(s) to add contacts to and apply tags, based on the product related actions that are taken by the customers and visitors on your Shopify Store. For example, you could set it up so that when someone purchase a certain product, they are added to the segment for that product.



Once you are done with selecting what events, contacts and products settings you want, click Save and that is it. You have now connected Platformly to your Shopify store. You can change the Shopify settings at anytime, simply go to Setup, select the Processors tab and there you will find your Shopify connection. Click on configure and it will take you to the Shopify settings, where you can make your changes and save them.



Once you are done with your settings, it is important to Import your Past transactions data to be able to see past LTV of your Customers. Also we do offer a Push Notification service which you can easily activate and use for your store, just follow the instructions shown on the Shopify Settings Page.
