How To Setup Projects At Platformly

00:00 Hi, Julien here from Platformly. In this video, I’m going to show you how to create a project in Platformly.

00:05 First, what’s a project? A project is like a folder. Imagine you run a SaaS business, but also have a side project you just started. In this case, you could create 2 projects: 1 for your main SaaS business, 1 for your side project. If you’re in eCommerce and run a few online stores, you could create a project for each of your stores. If you run a digital marketing agency, you could create a project for each of your clients. You get the idea.

00:32 To create a new project, simply click on the profile menu located at the top right, here. Then, click on setup.

00:39 On this page, you can see all your existing projects. You can see the Project IDs here (which is something you might look for if you use a service in which you can connect to Platformly), the Name, of course, a short Description, the Lead Score, the default Sender Profile, and the Total Number of Contacts.

00:58 To create a new project, simply click on “New Project” here. Enter a Name for your project, which can be the name of your product, a brand name, or your website address. Then, enter a short Description of your project… Just to clarify, this is for internal purposes only.

01:24 You can also pick a color, which will be associated with your project. Finally, you can select a default Sender Profile here, which will be the sender profile used when you send emails from Platformly. If you haven’t created a sender profile for this project yet, you can do so by clicking here on “Sender Profiles”. You will then need to refresh the list of sender profiles by clicking on the “Refresh” button here.

01:50 Once you filled out this form, click on the Submit button here. You will then see the project you just created in the list of projects here, and be able to select it in the top menu here. If you want to edit an existing project, simply click on the 3-dot icon here… and then on “Edit”. This will open the same form, meaning you can change the name, description, color and sender profile.

02:12 Alright, I hope you found this video useful. If you need more help, don’t hesitate to get in touch with us at getsupport@platform.ly.
