Import your unsubscribes list

It is very important to keep an uptodate 'do not mail' or 'unsubscribes' list. Here is how you can import them into Platformly:

So in this video we're going to have a look at how you can import your unsubscribe lists. So why would you want to do this? Let's say that you've used some other list cleaning service that doesn't have direct integration with us, or let's say that you're moving over from another service and they allow you to export your whole list and then separately your unsubscribe list. That way you would need to then make sure that those unsubscribes aren't subscribed with us as well.

So we're going to do imports of people who have bad addresses or dead addresses or are now unsubscribed, and the way we do that is you can either manually insert up to 1000 at a time or you can upload a CSV file.

So in my example, I had over 5,000 so I just used this file, split.Organization. So I used that and I just uploaded the file and split by the number of rows. I put 950 here or 900. I put 900 because I knew that that could then make six files.

So let's go back over here and let's now click that we want to upload by CSV. We're going to select our file. So I've done the first ones, so this one will be the second one. We click import. So I'm going to check that and it's going to say 900 are valid. Because there's a lot of space in the CSV file. You know all the rows and columns, so you don't have to worry about that. I know that there's 900 that I want to import, so that's fine and I'm importing for this project and I click unsubscribe.

And then it's going to say that it's done that. So that's how easy it is. We'll just do it one more time and then I'm going to end the video. But as you can see, I have a few more to do still. Import. Okay. And all emails are imported at this time. So that's how you can import your unsubscribe list.
