How to use CRM filters in Platformly

There are various filter options within the Platformly CRM that you can apply to your contact list. This makes it easier for you to group and categorize your contacts according to your own specific needs. You can also create a specific tab in your CRM for a specific filter as well as export a filtered contact list.

How to use CRM filters in Platformly?

In your contact list, select the "filter" icon which is located at the top right of the contact list.

A pop-up window will appear where you can select the filter option that you want. Click on the "Add" button to start adding a filter to your contact list. You can apply more than one filter at a time.

Choose the filter that you want and click "Apply Filter".

You can apply the following filters:

Contact Activity - To see contacts that had activity during a specified time period.

Social Profile - To see contacts that has the selected social profile, e.g. contacts that have a Facebook profile or a Twitter profile.

Field - Here you can select any field that you have for your contacts and set the filter so that it will show the contacts that have that specific field or even those that do not have that specific field. For example, let's say you want to separate your contact lists into those from the United States and those not from the United States. You can do this by applying a filter "field / country / is equal / United States" and "field / country / is not equal / United States".

Tags - To see contacts with a selected tag.

Segments - To see contacts with a selected segment.

Emails - To see contacts that received, didn't receive, opened, didn't open, clicked or didn't click on a selected email.

Automation To see contacts that have performed, not performed, finished or currently in the process of a specific automation.

Events - To see contacts that have fired or have not fired a specific event. An example of an event would be clicking on a link in a certain email, visiting a certain page, made a purchase and so on. You can find out more about how to set up events in Platformly here.

Activity - To see contacts who have or did not have the selected activity during a specific time period. An example for this filter would be if you want to see contacts that have unsubscribed in the last year. You would then apply the filter "Activity / Most Active / Unsubscribe / Last 365 Days" as shown in image below.

Date Range - To see contacts that were created during the specified date ranged.

Lead Score - To see contacts within a certain lead score range. You can find out how to set up lead scoring in Platformly here.

Optins - To see contacts that have been added via the selected optin form. You can find out more about how to use Platformly optin forms here.

Creating separate tabs for your filtered contact list

You can create separate tabs on your Contacts dashboard for specific filters. To do this, select the "+" button at the top of the tab list.

A pop-up similar to the one for creating a filter will appear. Select the filter you want to apply. At the bottom of the popup you will have the option to input a tab name for the filter selected. Then click "Create Tab".

Exporting a filtered contacts list

You can export a CSV or TXT file of the filtered contacts list by simply selecting all contacts and then choose export. You can also send emails and text messages, add tags or segments, unsubscribe or delete contacts on the filtered contact list this way too.

If you have more than 100 contacts on your filtered list, you can use the "select all" option at the bottom of the list, to select all contacts.

Note that all data such as names, email addresses, phone numbers and so on, that are shown in this help guide are randomly made up data and do not represent any person actual information.
